Adventures of A Chiropractic Intern
We welcomed “soon to be DC” Jessica D to our office on July 17, 2017 and she will be wrapping up her chiropractic education in October of this year. Jessica has been a great help and a friendly face in the office, and we enjoy having her here to learn with us. She will be documenting her stay with us and commenting on what she finds interesting along the way! Check back often for her updates.
Wow, time flies when you’re having fun! I can’t believe my internship here at Blau Family Chiropractic is more than half way over.
The patient success stories continue to remind me why I love this profession. I feel so blessed to be learning here and would like to share a few stories. There are a couple children who were struggling to develop. At the age of two they were still not walking. When children develop skills such as crawling or walking too soon or too late there nervous system is not functioning properly. Both children are now walking and under chiropractic care to help them grow, develop and thrive.
I have also met several patients who have come to Blau Chiropractic with severe spinal degeneration and disc problems. Despite their circumstances they have avoided surgery with regular chiropractic care. Those patients are living their lives happy and healthy without the side effects of drugs or surgery. Yet, there are some patients who were not able to avoid surgery and they are still here getting adjusted with spinal fusions or rods in their back. They know the adjustments work to prevent any future surgeries and maintain health of their spine.
Lastly, this week I had the opportunity to teach the DIY classes. I love seeing the “light bulb” turn on in people when you explain health and chiropractic. I’m also showing people how to use a lacrosse ball. If you don’t know what a lacrosse ball is or how to use it come to the September DIY classes to learn. RSVP in advanced and we will order you Jimmy Johns.
